Information for Referring Providers

Clinical Interests for Referring Providers
My clinical interests include management of acute and chronic lung disease in children, especially chronic lung disease of prematurity, as well as the management of pulmonary hypertension.

Research Interest for Referring Providers
My research interests are primarily focused on investigating mechanisms of lung and lung vascular development and injury in infants born preterm. My research projects in this area explore risk factors for impaired lung vascular development and chronic lung disease, including pulmonary hypertension, utilizing proteomic, airway microbiome, endothelial progenitor cells, and physiologic measures of lung disease. I also conduct NIH funded research projects utilizing molecular microbiome, transcriptomic, and proteomic analysis to investigate the mechanisms of ventilator associated pneumonia to facilitate improved prevention and treatment methodologies.
