Clinical Interest for Patients
My clinical practice includes taking an integrative approach to caring for pregnant women with "high-risk" conditions such as: mental health conditions, genetic conditions, high blood-pressure, diabetes, endocrine conditions, or fetal conditions.

Care Philosophy
I address the physical and psychosocial health of pregnant women as this can improve both maternal and child health and maternal-child health is the cornerstone of a healthy society.

Personal Interests
I enjoy biking, running, yoga, skiing, gardening, and spending time with my family which includes two children, two dogs, and a menagerie of small farm animals.

Volunteer Activities
I continue to be involved in several national and international efforts to improve pregnancy and perinatal mental health care.

Public Speaking

Information for Referring Providers

Clinical Interests for Referring Providers
My clinical interests and expertise includes: management of perinatal mental health conditions, providing integrative perinatal care, obstetric ultrasound, and managing high-risk pregnancies.

Research Interest for Referring Providers
My clinical practice and research is focused on two intervention trials. One randomized trial tests choline supplementation (versus placebo) throughout pregnancy and the impact on pregnancy, maternal, and child developmental outcomes. The other randomized trial tests perinatal-adapted interpersonal therapy (versus enhanced usual care) in women with depressive symptoms and the impact on pregnancy, maternal, and child developmental outcomes. Both of these trials seek to improve standard perinatal care (and care recommendations) to improve maternal-child health.
