Research Interests
Dr. Fiallo-Scharer joined the BDC in 2002. She has been involved in several multicenter studies looking at the clinical utility and development of new technologies with the potential of improving the lives of individuals with type 1 diabetes. Her research in the area of continuous glucose monitoring and closed loop technology has resulted in several publications. Dr. Fiallo-Scharer's research interests also include mechanisms and prevention of hypoglycemia in children with type 1 diabetes.
