Information for Referring Providers
Clinical Interests for Referring Providers: I am a general cardiologist with expertise in cardiac imaging (echo, nuclear, and cardiac CTA).

Research Interest for Referring Providers: My research interests focus on “learning healthcare systems” design to leverage real-time clinical data to deliver high-quality care to patients with cardiac disease. I have authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications, and received multiple grants exploring optimal strategies of prevention and cardiac risk reduction among veterans with coronary artery disease. I also hold national leadership positions overseeing initiatives in promoting high-quality cardiac care. I am the Associate Director for the VA Clinical Assessment, Reporting, and Tracking (CART) program, a national clinical quality program for all 79 cardiac catheterization laboratories in the national VA health care system. I am also the Research and Publications committee chair for the PINNACLE Registry of the American College of Cardiology National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR), a national quality of care registry for over 150 U.S. outpatient cardiology practices.
