Information for Referring Providers
Clinical Interests for Referring Providers: I am a general cardiologist with expertise in cardiac imaging (echo, nuclear, and cardiac CTA).

Research Interest for Referring Providers: My research interests focus on ensuring cardiac quality and safety before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). I am the recipient of a VA Career Development Award to explore optimal strategies in secondary prevention and risk factor control among patients after PCI. I am also leading projects exploring optimal prevention strategies in patients with sub-clinical atherosclerosis, management of anti-platelet therapies in PCI patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery, and cardiac health status measurement among angina patients before and after PCI. I also oversee the quality and research initiatives for the VA CART program, a national data repository for all cardiac catheterization procedures conducted in the VA health care system.
