Clinical Interest for Patients: My practice is limited to cancer of the bladder and other urothelial cancers such as those of the ureters and renal pelvis. I carry out the repertoire of therapeutic options for these diseases including but not limited to: Transurethral resection (TUR) of bladder tumors; Radical cystectomy and radical nephrectomy; Ureteroscopy. In some cases these operations are carried out using state of the art laproscopic or robotic techniques (i.e. daVinci). In patients undergoing radical cystectomy I offer continent diversions (Indiana Pouch or Ileal Neobladder).

Research Interests
I manage an active translational molecular biology lab focused on identifying the molecular mechanisms leading to bladder cancer metastasis and their potential applications to patients with this disease. Our laboratory is at the forefront of the development of biomarkers and therapeutics in bladder cancer. We have also published one of the first papers in the field on robotic cystectomy and improvements of the Ileal Neobladder.
