Research Interests
Dr. Kim is an investigator for the PARTNER II Trial, which is studying transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) with the Edwards Sapien XT Transcatheter Heart Valve, a minimally invasive option for patients with severe aortic stenosis. He is also an investigator for the COAPT Trial, which is studying the Mitraclip Mitral Valve Repair System for patients with functional mitral regurgitation. Dr. Kim is also interested in the integration of advanced imaging modalities in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, investigation of new implantable cardiac devices, and novel approaches to medical education and training, specifically in the realm of structural heart disease interventions.
