Research Interests
My research interests are primarily focused on investigating kidney injury in children after heart surgery. I am currently investigating use of kidney injury biomarkers to predict drug clearance after heart surgery. The specific drug I am currently studying is milrinone, which has been shown to improve heart function after heart surgery, but may accumulate when kidney injury is present
Information for Referring Providers
Clinical Interests for Referring Providers: My interests include care of critically ill children with congenital or acquired heart disease

Research Interest for Referring Providers: My research interests are primarily focused on investigating acute kidney injury in children after cardiac surgery with a focus on pharmacokinetics, and using kidney injury biomarkers to predict drug clearance. Specifically, I am evaluating if AKI biomakers can predict impaired milrinone clearance after cardiac surgery.
