COVID-19 Guidelines

CU Doctors are here for you!
Our clinics are open and able to serve you during this time for urgent in-person visits as well as virtual health services. Please call our clinics directly to schedule an appointment for both in person and virtual health.

Our number one priority is the health and safety of our patients, their family members, as well as our health care team. To honor this commitment we have implemented the following procedures:

  • Non-urgent medical appointments should be converted to telehealth visits or rescheduled if telehealth is not feasible.
  • Please bring your own face mask or covering to wear. Patients checking in must tell staff if they have: A fever, cold symptoms (cough, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath); Flu symptoms (fever, chills, body aches, etc.).
  • Adult patients may be allowed one asymptomatic person (at least 17 years old) for support; however, we reserve the right to deem a support person unnecessary at any time.
  • Pediatric patients may be allowed one asymptomatic adult (i.e. parent, guardian) for support.
  • For pediatric patients, please check the Children's Hospital Colorado website for updated COVID-19 related patient information.

Please call us about your current health care concerns. Please take care in following current public health guidelines. Please visit the Colorado COVID-19 website, for more information.

Thank you for doing your part to help keep everyone safe and healthy!

Clinical Interest for Patients
I see patients only at the Shaw Cancer Center in Vail (Edwards, CO 970-569-7429). I specialize in prostate cancer issues from screening to initial treatment to caring for patients with metastatic disease. I serve on several advisory boards for new medications used in GU cancers.

Care Philosophy
Patients facing cancer need expertise and experience as well as compassion. Finding options for further therapy is always a priority. However, supporting a patient who has exhausted all options is a sacred trust. I try to do both.

Personal Interests
My hobbies include golf, skiing, fly-fishing, and woodworking. Grandparenting is an increasingly lovely diversion as well!

Volunteer Activities
Board, Meyn Foundation Volunteer, EPIC Experience

Public Speaking
I speak about prostate cancer, from screening to latest research findings

Information for Referring Providers

Clinical Interests for Referring Providers
I have been very involved in Prostate Cancer both as a physician and researcher. In this role, I provide counseling for newly diagnosed patients who are contemplating therapy options, as well as taking care of patients with advanced disease. As there are many unanswered questions, we try to have clinical research protocols available for all stages of prostate cancer.

Research Interest for Referring Providers
Prostate cancer - novel hormonal therapy, immunotherapy and chemotherapeutic approaches. I also work with colleagues on natural products for prevention of cancer such as silibin.
