Clinical Interest for Patients
My clinical interests include inpatient and outpatient general internal medicine, with a particular interest in women, elders, and diverse populations.

Care Philosophy
I believe in patient-centered care that treats the whole patient- physically and emotionally. I believe that my role is to partner with my patients to identify the best possible diagnosis or treatment strategy for them, based on their goals and values.

Volunteer Activities
I am dedicated to improving health of under-served populations locally and abroad. I volunteer at local free clinics and recently spent several years working part-time to improve the medical education infrastructure in Zimbabwe. I am very involved with my children and family and enjoy exercise, most recently focused on triathlon training.

Research Interest for Referring Providers
My research interests are in medical education. Specifically, I am interested in curriculum development, faculty development, learner assessment and program evaluation. I work both locally and nationally on several initiatives to improve competency-based education and training, as well as to assess the impact of these changes on the kinds of doctors we produce.
