Information for Referring Providers
Clinical Interests for Referring Providers: I am interested in the development, evaluation, and study of effective dissemination and implementation methods for evidence-based treatments (EBT) for abused and traumatized children and their caregivers. I focus on parental socialization of children’s emotion management skills and emotional security. I, also, concentrate on intervention development of emotion focused, parent-child communication training module (AFFECT) that serves to complement trauma-focused EBTs.
Research Interest for Referring Providers: I focus on community and agency level buy in and uptake regarding evidence-based, as well as the impact of child abuse and violence exposure on child and adult mental health outcomes.
