Care Philosophy: I have dedicated my career to advance the care of Veteran patients with cardiovascular disease through clinical care and research. I have served at the San Francisco and Denver VA Medical Centers since 1988, and currently direct the Section of Cardiology at the Denver VA. Our section is an integral part of the Division of Cardiology of the University of Colorado Denver. It includes approximately 50 dedicated clinical and research staff who provide a full range of care for Veteran patients with cardiovascular disorders including ischemic heart disease, interventional cardiology, peripheral arterial disease, heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmias. An active academic program in the Cardiology Section of the Denver VA includes basic research, clinical trials, outcomes research, and training of cardiology fellows
