Research Interests
My research interests are primarily focused on investigating how tumors evade the immune system, and to develop strategies that enhance the immune's response against the tumor. In particular, I am evaluating strategies to block specific TNF co-stimulatory pathways unique on regulatory T cells that suppress immunity, and to imprint homing receptors on T cells that have control their migration into tumors. In addition, I am investigating how the microbiota, the commensal bacteria that co-exist in us, interact with the human host to suppress or promote immunity that controls tumor and inflammation following stem cell transplantation.
