Clinical Interest for Patients
Dr. Olin is one of the world leaders in the treatment of shortness of breath during exercise. He is happy to see patients of any age or athletic level. To find out more, check his website at: https://www.nationaljewish.org/doctors-departments/providers/physicians/j-tod-olin

Care Philosophy
Dr. Olin believes that all patients have the right to see a specialist, regardless of age, athletic level, or symptom severity. Patients decide when they are cured, not doctors that think “the numbers are normal.”

Information for Referring Providers

Clinical Interests for Referring Providers
Dr. Olin has an international reputation related to the diagnosis and treatment of shortness of breath during exercise. He invented 2 therapies for exercise-induced laryngeal obstruction, EILO, (also known as vocal cord dysfunction, VCD) which are available only at National Jewish Health-therapeutic laryngoscopy during exercise and the Olin EILOBI breathing techniques. Dr. Olin and his partner Lizzie Fan: • treat patients from the Denver area, over 40 states, and other countries. • work with pediatric and adult patients • cure casual exercisers and international-level athletes. • have expertise in exercise-induced asthma and EILO (VCD). • feel all people have the right to see an expert, regardless of age or symptom severity. • treat people previously told they don't have a problem because "the tests are normal." • treat people taking too many or ineffective asthma medications. • have a program for those traveling to Colorado from other states.
