Personal Interests
I obtained my medical degree in Mumbai, India, before completing residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. I then pursued advanced fellowship training in lymphoid malignancies and bone marrow transplantation at Stanford University. I chose to subspecialize in lymphomas because of their clinical heterogeneity, scientifically stimulating biology, and the opportunity to tailor therapeutics while driving innovation in drug development. I am currently an Associate Professor of Medicine and Clinical Director of the Lymphoma Program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. In this role, I have built a nationally recognized program and lead clinical and translational research efforts focused on chemotherapy-free, immune-based approaches for B-cell lymphomas, particularly diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, mantle cell lymphoma, and indolent lymphomas. My research portfolio includes leading pivotal trials that have resulted in FDA approvals, as well as first-in-human studies of novel CAR-T and bispecific antibodies. Beyond my clinical and research work, I contribute to the field through national leadership and service. I serve on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) B-cell and CLL Guidelines Panel and the Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG) Lymphoma Committee, where I am an active member of the lymphoma working groups. I also hold editorial roles and serve on multiple scientific advisory boards. My overarching goal is to advance personalized medicine in lymphoid malignancies—delivering therapies that are transformative, durable, and accessible to patients everywhere.
