Clinical Interest for Patients
My clinical and laboratory interests are in the area of leukemia and in using the immune system to treat cancer, whether that be through bone marrow transplantation or cellular immunotherapy.

Care Philosophy
My care philosophy is to, first and foremost, be honest and forthright with information. I believe that it only in this way that parents and patients can make the best decisions about their care. I also try to engage both the family and the patient in the decision making process when it is possible and appropriate.

Personal Interests
I enjoy spending time watching my kids play hockey and lacrosse. I also enjoy listening to great music and eating good food.

Information for Referring Providers

Clinical Interests for Referring Providers
My clinical interests include the use of allogeneic transplantation for acute leukemia and the development and testing of cellular therapy (CAR T cells and Natural Killer cells) to prevent leukemia relapse

Research Interest for Referring Providers
My laboratory focuses on developing genetically modified T cells, specifically CAR T cells, to effectively target solid tumors. Our research aims to enhance CAR T cell homing, survival, and function within the tumor microenvironment, overcoming key barriers to their efficacy. By optimizing these properties, we seek to improve therapeutic outcomes and advance next-generation immunotherapies for solid tumors.
